The Ring of the Nibelung – a four-part epic about the present, history and future viability of an extended family and its heritage. Time changes us. A world passes, new truths emerge. Imprintings, experiences of loss, and traumas passed down through generations seek to gain power over the fates of individuals. Where do these individuals come from? Where are they going? At some point, nothingness, oblivion, the end reaches us; at the same time, we pursue the futile struggle to fight it – with the help of power, possessions, wealth, violence, beauty or offspring.
