Anna Siminska
Anna Siminska, a soprano from Poland, studied at the Frédéric Chopin Music University in Warsaw and at University of the Arts in Graz. She made her international debut as Adele (Die Fledermaus) at the Schlosstheater in Vienna and was a member of the Young Singers’ Project at the 2009 Salzburg Festival. She has sung Queen of the Night around the world, for companies including Vienna State Opera, Washington National Opera, Berlin State Opera, Dresden Semperoper, Komische Oper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt and Opera House in Tokyo. Other appearances include Woglinde (Götterdämmerung) for the Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg Eastern Festival, Adele (Die Fledermaus) for Vienna State Opera, Clorinde (La Cenerentola) for Glyndebourne on Tour, Amina (La sonnambula) and Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) in Graz, Dew Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel) for Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Ilia (Idomeneo) for Komische Oper Berlin, Gilda (Rigoletto) in Limoges, Kazan and Vilnius, Stravinsky's Rossignol at Polish National Opera, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Flaminia (Il mondo della Luna) in Linz, Sandrina (La finta giardiniera) for Berlin State Opera and Theater Bonn and Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) in concert with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra.
Her recent engagements include a role of Queen of the Night at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opera de Lausanne and Opera Bastille in Paris.
She cooperated with such conductors as Sir Simon Rattle, Bertrand de Billy, Philippe Auguin, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Stefan Soltesz, Daniel Harding, Erwin Ortner, Nicola Luisotti, Leo Hussain and others.
Anna Siminska’s concert appearances include Carmina Burana at the Musikverein with the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and the Tölzer Knabenchor, recorded by ASC.
