Dagmar Manzel
Born in Berlin in 1958, the graduate of the Ernst Busch Acting School in Berlin is one of the most successful German actresses. She sings, she dances, she plays her heart out! Like hardly any other actress, she manages to adapt to every role like a chameleon, sometimes as a snotty brat, sometimes as a lady of the world, and yet she never plays a role - she is always the character she embodies on stage. This is evidenced by awards such as the Adolf Grimme Award, the Actress of the Year Award, the German Television Award, the German Actor Award and the German Film Award. In addition to theater, film and television, Dagmar Manzel also loves music. She has thrilled audiences with major song recitals and leading roles in musical theater productions at the Komische Oper Berlin, the Cologne Opera, the Hans-Otto Theater Potsdam, the Deutsches Theater, and especially in Paris at the Cité de la Musique, London's Wigmore Hall, the Edinburgh International Festival, the Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie Berlin.
With her CD MenschenSkind, released by Universal, she is a regular guest in many major German cities and festivals. In the season 19/20 followed with Sehnsucht a new CD .
She has appeared with various programs at the Zurich Opera House, the Bavarian State Opera, the Wiesbaden and Saarbrücken State Theaters, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Hamburg State Opera, in concert programs at the Teatro Real in Madrid, at the Rheingau Music Festival, the Kurt Weill Festival and the Dresden State Operetta.
