Nathalie Stutzmann
As Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Nathalie Stutzmann is the second woman to lead a major American orchestra. She is also Principal Guest Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra. In the 2023/24 season, she made her debut with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and (with the Philadelphia Orchestra) at Carnegie Hall, New York. She was also invited back to the London Symphony Orchestra. She conducted Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer at the Teatro Regio in Turin and was named “Best Conductor” at the Oper! Awards 2024 as “Best Conductor” for her debut at the Bayreuth Festival 2023. She was appointed “Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur” and “Commandeur de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” by the French government. Her recordings are released exclusively by Warner Classics/ Erato, her debut album for the label, together with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, is dedicated to works by Antonín Dvořák and will be released in August 2024.
