Current and future engagements include debuts as Alberich and Biterolf in the new Ring Cycle with Bayreuth Festival, Telramund Lohengrin at Grand Theatre Liceu in Barcelona, Alberich Siegfried Gothenburg Opera, Alberich Rheingold CNPA Beijing, the title role of
Macbeth with National Theatre in Prague, Captain Balstrode Peter Grimes Finnish National Opera, Miller Luisa Miller at the English National Opera.
Other appearances include debut at Wexford Festival as Sancho Don Quichotte, a return to Prague National Theatre with the role of Telramund Lohengrin, the title role in Wozzeck and the title role Der fliegende Holländer at the Finnish National Opera, Alberich Das Rheingold in Gothenburg Opera. He was also seen as Falstaff Falstaff at Opera Omaha and Opera Colorado and in the main part in Rigoletto at Minnesota Opera.
OTHER ENGAGEMENTS
Formerly a principal artist at Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken, roles there include Balstrode Peter Grimes, and the title roles of Falstaff, Rigoletto, Macbeth and Simon Boccanegra, Scarpia Tosca, Renato Un Ballo in Maschera, Jochanaan Salome (for which he received the Sponsors Prize), Don Carlo La Forza del Destino, Four Villains The Tales of Hoffmann, Méphistophélès La Damnation de Faust, Tonio I Pagliacci and General Groves Doctor Atomic. His performances in German repertoire include roles such as Klingsor Parsifal, Pizarro Fidelio, Barak Frau ohne Schatten.
